Special Olympians compete in 2018 D.C. Bowling Championship February 22, 2018 — Special Olympics D.C. is the sole provider of sports, health and inclusion programs that benefit over 1,600 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the district. Approximately 75 Special Olympics athletes took part in competitions, with more than 60 military volunteers from the National Capital Region helping with equipment, keeping score and providing encouragement to the participants.
