For PPM/ DITY (Personally Procured Move/ Do It Yourself) move reimbursements, you are required to bring a copy of these documents for a reimbursement package as follows: PCS Orders, DDFORM 2278, DDFORM 1351-2, all applicable receipts & contracts, PPM checklist, empty & full weight tickets of the vehicle used with license plate number. Please write your last name and the last four digits of your SSN on your weight tickets. Please ensure all documents are legible and that all carbon copies are readable.
To file a claim of loss or damaged items, you will have 75 days from the date of delivery. Claims must be filed within the Defense Personal Property System (DPS), accessed through www.move.mil.
To schedule delivery of household goods (HHG) or unaccompanied baggage (UB) from Storage In-Transit (SIT) please contact your moving company directly. For Non-Temporary Storage (NTS) release, please e-mail us with your orders and the physical address of where your items are being stored.
To arrange a shipment, please visit move.mil. Please note, shipment planning/scheduling cannot occur without orders. A How-To video and Powerpoint for creating a CONUS shipment on move.mil can be found on our Air Force Portal Site. When you are finished creating your shipment on move.mil, please send us an e-mail to notify us. DPS/Move.mil does not automatically notify us.
