Our Mission
Maximize small business participation in Joint Base Andrews procurements. In order to achieve this, the Small Business Office counsels contractors, manages an effective outreach program, tracks progress in meeting SB performance expectations, provides education to internal and external customers, advises and assists contracting and program personnel on SB matters. Small business specialists strive to make using small business the smart solution, rather than a required program.

FY22 316th Wing & CONS Small Business Summit

The 316th Wing at Joint Base Andrews is hosting the 2022 316th Wing/316 CONS Small Business Summit Thursday, 28 July 2022, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Eastern.  The summit's goal is to bring together small business contractors in an open forum to discuss historical and upcoming contracting opportunities for industry and Joint Base Andrews. The event will also provide an opportunity for vendor outreach and networking with contracting officials from the 316th Contracting Squadron and program offices. Due to limited space in the facility, a maximum capacity of 130 attendees has been established and once the maximum number has been registered for this event, all additional persons responding to this notice will be notified that their name has been placed on a standby list. Pre-registration is mandatory. Unregistered attendees will not be admitted. Due to security on Joint Base Andrews, a list of all attendees will be required during registration sign up. 

Forecasted Requirements

The deadline for registration is Monday, 11 July 2022 at 4 p.m. Eastern, or when we reach the capacity of 130 attendees. A $15 non-refundable fee will be charged for entry. Light drinks and refreshments will be provided. 

*MASK or Proof of Vaccination may be required, so please be prepared.

**NOTE: This event is for US Citizens only.  The information collected for registration is required for base access and will be destroyed immediately after the event.**

**NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS** Limited space for this event may prohibit the availability of vendor booths/exhibits; therefore, no vendor booth/exhibits are being offered. Rather than having the traditional vendor booths at this year's summit, we are planning on a combination of presentations and networking/breakout sessions. Any status changes will be published in an amendment to this notice.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE VISITORS CENTER: When coming through the main gate, go straight through the traffic light (you will be on Alabama).  At the first 4 way stop, Alabama and D Street, make a left onto D street.  At the next 4 way stop (Colorado and D), stay straight on D Street.  At the next 4 way stop sign turn right onto Brookley Ave.  Make the second right and keep straight to the sign. Make a right and then a left (there will be a baseball field on your left). Keep straight and make a right just before the next stop sign. The address is 1442 Concord Avenue.

 

The Small Business Programs Office from Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) and the 316th Wing at Joint Base Andrews will be holding monthly Small Business Forums throughout the year, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The goal of the forums is to allow companies an opportunity to present their capabilities, (up to a 5 min oral presentation only) and to network with other companies for future teaming opportunities, in an informal setting.   Location or Platform to be determined at a later date:
