JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md.,
Service members and civilians from around the National Capital Region gathered for an Adaptive Field Day event, in celebration of Month of the Military Child, April 12, 2025.
The Military and Family Readiness Center coordinated accessible games, crafts, and activities with provided snacks and prizes. Taking place at the Community Commons, the event also included resources and organizations supporting military families.
The event focused on bringing military families closer together and celebrating children of all abilities as they navigate a life of service.
April is the Month of the Military Child, during which the Department of Defense recognizes the more than 1.6 million military children worldwide and their sacrifices living a continuously dynamic lifestyle.
