Media members visiting Joint Base Andrews must be escorted by a Public Affairs representative at all times.

Job Description

Media representatives must be actively and professionally engaged in the pursuit of information
distribution about Joint Base Andrews, its units or the U.S. Air Force. Freelance media members must have
verifiable previous accomplishments and may be asked to provide assignment documents from an editor, news
director, producer, manager or owner of a professionally recognized media organization. Foreign Nationals or
Green Card holders must submit a copy of their passport or Alien/Legal Permanent Resident card with this
application. All documents must be unexpired.

Basic Information for Media about Joint Base Andrews

The 316th Wing is the host wing for Joint Base Andrews, providing security, personnel, contracting, finance and infrastructure support for 5 Wings, 3 Headquarters, more than 80 tenant organizations, 148 geographically separated units, 6,500 Airmen in the Pentagon, as well as 60,000 Airmen and families in the National Capital Region and around the world. The 316th Wing supports contingency operations in our nation's capital with immediate response rotary assets. It also provides security for the world's highest visibility flight line and is responsible for ceremonial support with the United States Air Force Arlington Chaplaincy.
