Chaplain Countess Cooper, 113th Wing staff chaplain, from Joint Base Andrews, Md., is a Washington D.C. Air National Guardsman on a team of chaplains that provides religious support and accommodations to over 1200 Airmen and their families. She commissioned in the Air Force in 2010, has been working with the Department of Education for 24 years and with the Faith Temple Church in D.C. for 16 years, with a special ministry to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.
