316th Mission Support Group receives new commander

An assumption of command is a military tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility for a unit to a commanding officer.
July 2, 2020 - Col. Nichole Scott assumed command of the 316th Mission Support Group during an assumption of command ceremony here, July 2, 2020. “Thank you for giving me an opportunity to lead this fantastic group,” said Scott. “I’m absolutely ready and my career has prepared me for times like this. I look forward to what the next two years will bring us.”

June 29, 2020 - Joint Base Andrews lowered its health protection condition (HPCON) at 5 a.m. this morning to better align with the coronavirus pandemic’s impact on the base and the local community.

316th Security Forces Squadron changes command
Lt. Col. Jason E. Stack salutes Col. Joseph A. Engelbrech III to assume command of the 316th Security Forces Squadron during a change of command ceremony at Joint Base Andrews, Md., on June 24, 2020.
