A1C Brady Stemmle performs equipment maintenance

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Brady Stemmle, a 316th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment apprentice, performs routine maintenance on a helmet, survival bag and night vision goggles at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, August 28, 2026. As an AFE apprentice, Stemmle is required to inspect, maintain and pack life-saving gear to ensure aircrew safety and mission readiness. Stemmle’s maintenance and supply of gear allows the 1st Helicopter Squadron to complete their no-fail contingency operations across the National Capital Region.
