ANDREWS AFB, Md. -- Airmen interested in becoming recruiters, military training instructors, military training leaders, technical training instructors, or professional military education instructors will have the opportunity to meet with members of the Air Education and Training Command Special Duty Assignment team Tuesday at the Malcolm Grow Medical Center.

Master Sgt. Steffanie Jenkins, 316th Wing career assistance advisor, said that the brief will cover opportunities within the AETC special duty assignments and members of the Recruiter Screening Team and the MTI Recruiting Team will conduct the briefing.
"We just want to get the word out there and let Airmen know that the Air Education and Training Command Special Duty Assignment team is coming to Andrews," said Sergeant Jenkins. "It's a great opportunity for our Airmen."

Sergeant Jenkins said that Airmen 1st class with at least 24 months time in service through master sergeant with less than 17 years total active federal military service are invited to attend the briefing. Enlisted personnel from all Air Force Specialty Codes that meet the previously identified criteria are eligible to apply for these positions and are also encouraged to attend the briefing. In addition, spouses of potential applicants are also invited to attend. One of the benefits of the recruiter assignment is the opportunity to choose a recruiting assignment from more than 1,100 possible locations. For military training instructors, some of the benefits include special duty assignment pay and an annual supplemental clothing allowance.

Applicants should bring a completed special duty application to the briefing to expedite processing.

The AETC special duty assignment briefing will be Tuesday in the Malcolm Grow Medical Center conference room at 8 a.m. For more information and an application, contact Sergeant Jenkins at 301-981-5676 or e-mail steffanie.jenkins@andrews.af.mil.
