The 113th Wing’s Capital Guardians provide fighter, airlift and support forces capable of global employment and air sovereignty forces to defend the Nation’s Capital; employ the forces with mastery and lethality, if required and provide the community with support enhanced through good will. The 113th Wing prevents enemy nation-states and non-state adversaries from attacking fellow Americans and adversely impacting our way of life. The wing responds aggressively and quickly to natural disasters or public insecurity situations to protect life and property and quickly restore normality to the lives of those affected; and develops and trains highly motivated, capable, and respected Guardsmen who will accomplish the mission with integrity and leadership while serving and enriching the community and developing the trust and respect of our neighbors.
