Tour Requests

Base tours are offered to local civic organizations, schools and youth groups to educate people about the U.S. Air Force and Joint Base Andrews' missions. Tours are free of charge and can be subject to last-minute cancellations due to mission requirements and resource availability. Public tours of Joint Base Andrews are available to groups of 10 to 40 people. We do not accommodate tour requests to combine different groups. Tours are given Tuesday through Thursday only and are scheduled on a first-requested, first-served basis. JBA does not offer multiple day tours and all tours are for one day only with a maximum of 3 hours. For safety reasons, children under the age of 10 are not allowed.

No tours will be given on weekends or federal holidays or beyond normal duty hours. The 316th Wing does not offer tours of the Presidential Airlift Group or Air Force One.

Requesting a Tour Tour requests must be submitted no later than 60 days prior to the date of the tour. Requests must be submitted through the 316th Wing Public Affairs Office and are accepted up to three months in advance. Coordination will begin one month in advance. A particular day of the week may be requested, but there is no guarantee that a tour will be available on that day until your tour is confirmed. Groups requesting a tour must complete the Tour Request Form below.

Tour Itinerary The 316th Wing does not offer tours of the Presidential Airlift Group or Air Force One. Tours start at 9 a.m. and are scheduled for a maximum of 3 hours. These guided tours begin at 9 a.m. and end no later than noon and are subject to limited availability. Tours of Joint Base Andrews may include various organizations on base to include static displays and demonstrations. However, no particular activities can be guaranteed. Only ROTC, Junior ROTC or military-affiliated groups can use the Freedom Hall Dining Facility. Payment is cash or debit/credit only, and groups must contact the dining facility for arrangements before their visit.

Every effort will be made to honor your request, but ultimately, we work around our daily operations schedule and mission requirement. In these cases, a tour may be cancelled at any time, without notice. There will be no substitutions during these cases.

Transportation Groups are responsible for transportation large enough to carry the entire group - only ONE vehicle per group. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS and groups arriving in more than one vehicle will be turned away at the gate. All buses/vans must arrive at the Pearl Harbor Gate for security processing. Confirm vehicle information and estimated arrival time with our office before arriving. Buses will be met at the Pearl Harbor gate by a member from the Public Affairs office who will accompany the group onboard the bus and will remain with them for the duration of the tour. If a group is more than 20 minutes late, their tour is subject to cancellation.

Cameras Cameras are allowed on the tour; however, there are some restrictions. Your tour guide will inform you of these restrictions.

Required Attire For safety reasons closed-toe shoes are required on all tours. Additionally, tour guests cannot wear tank tops, cut off t-shirts or attire that contains offensive material.
