Master Sgt. Jim DeVaughn, USAF Band recording engineer and assistant producer, is the Warrior of the Week for the week of Sept 24, 2014 at Joint Base Andrews. DeVaughn is responsible for recording, editing and mixing live and studio performances of USAF Band musical flights. Devaughn was recently recognized for his audio mix of “America’s Veterans: A Musical Tribute” with a Regional Emmy.

Be ready with National Preparedness Month

National Preparedness Month is part of the America's Preparathon hosted by FEMA which is a campaign to raise awareness within communities to know hazards in their region. Team Andrews participates in POW/MIA run

Members of Joint Base Andrews participate in the 24-hour POW/MIA Vigil Run here Sept. 18-19. More than 400 military and civilians participated in the run.  During the entirety of the event members carried the POW/MIA Flag around the Virginia track. The run was held to coincide with National POW/MIA Remembrance Day which is held the third Friday of September each year in honor of those who were prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action. DFAC - Nourishing Andrews' Airmen
