UH-1N Precautionary Landing in Suitland, Md.

11th Wing Public Affairs

A UH-1N Iroquois helicopter assigned to the 1st Helicopter Squadron based at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland made a precautionary landing during a routine training mission near Strayer University and Marlow Heights Medical Center in Suitland, Maryland at 9:15 a.m., Friday, July 21, 2017.

 

The precautionary landing was in response to a low oil pressure indicator and the aircraft landed safely at the first available, safe location.

 

No damage was caused to aircraft, personnel or property.

 

Maintenance crews are currently in route to access the situation.  More information will be released as it becomes available.
