JBA officials to introduce compatibility study results in public forum

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. -- Joint Base Andrews officials will host a public meeting to introduce the 2017 Air Installations Compatible Use Zones study March 7, 2018.

The public meeting will be 5-8 p.m. at the Show Place Arena Tack Room, located at 14900 Pennsylvania Avenue, Upper Marlboro, Md., 20772.

The AICUZ study describes changes in flight operations, provides updated noise contours and land use compatibility conditions, analyzes the impacts of aircraft noise and assesses accident potential on local communities.

The study also provides land use recommendations to ensure the safety, health and welfare of the public and long-term compatibility with the Air Force’s flying missions.
