JBA hosts annual powerlifting meet

The chalk was flying during the 6th Annual Joint Base Andrews Powerlifting Meet held in the Tactical Fitness Center here, Jan. 24, 2019. Nineteen weightlifters, split between two male and two female weight classes, competed in three tests of strength – squat, bench press and deadlift. Four first place trophies were awarded to the winners:

Senior Airman Michelle L. Badders – women’s lightweight division

Victoria Darnell – women’s middleweight division

Staff Sgt. Zachary McDaniel – men’s heavyweight division

Senior Airman Mathews Cruz-Cruz – men’s lightweight division
