America’s Airman: Senior Airman Tyler Trask

Why do you serve?

I decided to join the military to be the first one of my family to join the Air Force and to better myself for the future.

How does your job impact the wing’s mission?

I think my job impacts the wings mission because security forces is not only vital to the security of Air Force 1 but also to ensure the safety of everyone on the installation.

What's been your favorite assignement/TDY and why?

Baltic Air Police Mission in Lithuania because I had the opportunity to work hand in hand with foreign national security forces and visit part of the world not many get to see.

What is your dream assignment and why?

Fairchild AFB, Because after separating from the Air Force I want to be a game warden out west and I would be able to visit states where I might possibly end up living and working.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve done in the military?

Being certified on the M2 .50cal.

What Hobbies do you have/what do you do in your spare time?

I like to race motocross and hangout with my friends. I enjoy all outdoor activities.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your life?

Being deployed while losing a family member and not being able to say goodbye.
