By Airman 1st Class Bridgitte Taylor 316th Wing Public Affairs

Lt. Col. Jason L. Coleman assumed command of the 316th Comptroller Squadron during an assumption of command ceremony at Joint Base Andrews, Md., July 8, 2020.

“Thank you all today for taking part in this ceremony and welcoming me as a part of the Joint Base Andrews family,” said Coleman. “I’m extremely grateful and humbled.”

Coleman’s last command was the 39th CPTS, 39th Air Base Wing at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, where he was the wing’s chief financial officer and commanded 130 military and civilian personnel from 2019 to 2020.

Col. Tyler R Schaff, JBA and 316th Wing Commander, presided over the ceremony to activate the 316th CPTS change of command.

“Jason, although you’re going from command to command, you did it so well that you get to do it again,” said Schaff. “You’ll have different people under your command, your customers will for sure be different… but having talked to you last week, I know you relish the challenge you are about to encounter.”
