JBA hosts 11th Annual Motorcycle Safety Day

By Airman 1st Class Austin Pate 316th Wing Public Affairs

Service members and personnel across the installation participated in the 11th Annual Motorcycle Safety Day, June 3, 2022 at Joint Base Andrews.

Motorcycle riders came together for testimonials, safety briefings on riding techniques and discussed laws with law enforcement professionals. The attendees also met with various riding groups and participated in games, bike contests, giveaways, and an escorted group ride.

“The event is really meant to raise awareness amongst the riders, get them together, and bring camaraderie to the local area since we allow the entire national capital region to attend,” said Tech. Sgt. Bryan Dixon, 316th Wing Safety. “We want to make sure people are getting out there and getting their training, and getting in contact with other riders so if they're a new rider and they don’t feel comfortable riding alone, they have somebody they can reach out to.”
