JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
Several facilities here will adjust their operating hours in order to minimize the effects of the furlough of federal employees which is scheduled to take place July 8 - Sept. 30.
Child Development Centers: open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Family Child Care: closed Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Part Day Enrichment Program has been cancelled.
Youth Center: Open Rec Program closed on Saturdays.
Education and Training : closed every Friday.
East Fitness Center: open weekdays from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and closed weekends, holidays and 11th Wing family days.
West Fitness Center: open weekdays from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on 11th Wing family days.
Military Personnel Squadron: limited passport appointments available.
Legal Office: open 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Legal assistance by appointment only, and only active-duty personnel can show up for walk-in legal assistance from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday. Will appointments on Thursdays only at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. Will execution times are Thursday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Commissary: Closed Mondays until Sept. 30.
Malcom Grow: Patients may experience slightly longer wait times.
