Why is he being recognized?
Staff Sgt. Ralph Samson is being recognized for single handedly stepping up to take on the duties and responsibilities of the squadron fitness monitor. He personally developed individual and group fitness plans dedicated to get fellow Defenders "Fit to Fight," and implemented, executed and followed through with every phase needed to maintain a quality force. Furthermore, He has been recognized as a stellar wingman and consummate professional for my quick response and action on the base track. While was conducting a physical fitness enhancement session for fellow Defenders, he noticed an Airman struggling with heat issues and immediately sounded the alarm and began first aid until emergency responders could take over the situation.
