Unknown to a majority of her customers, outside of her job as manager for the Burger King here, Ms. Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas is a world-renowned competitive eater. During The Nathan's Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest, Thomas won the first-ever Women's Championship by eating 40 hot dogs and buns in the timed competition. She was honored by Col. Rizer, 11th Wing/Joint Base Andrews commander, as this week's warrior of the week for her work-ethic and fast-fingered fortitude while diligently serving JBA members at Burger King throughout each day.
