ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE, Md. –
1. 11th Civil Engineering Squadron - Aug. 21, an airman basic drank to the point of intoxication on a civilian aircraft while en route to a TDY location. The airman basic proceeded to smoke a cigarette in the airplane lavatory in direct violation of 49 U.S. Code Section 41706. Once confronted with the violation, the airman basic lied about smoking and became belligerent with senior noncommissioned officers. The airman basic violated Article 107 and 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). The airman basic received as punishment, forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.
2. 89th Communication Squadron - Aug. 5, a senior airman physically assaulted his spouse. Specifically, the senior airman choked his wife and hit her in the face. The senior airman received an Article 15 for violation of Article 128, UCMJ. His punishment consisted of a reduction to the grade of airman first class, restriction to Andrews Air Force Base for 14 days, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.
3. 11th Comptroller Squadron -Aug. 11, an airman failed to go to a mandatory medical appointment as it was his duty to do. The airman lied to two senior noncommissioned officers about his reason for missing the appointment. The airman then disobeyed a direct order from his squadron commander and went home after being told to report to a supervisor and await further instruction. The airman was reduced in rank to airman basic and reprimanded for violation of Article 86, 92, and 107 of the UCMJ.
4. 11th Security Forces Squadron -Aug. 16, an airman first class attended a house party and consumed alcohol while under the legal drinking age. The airman became intoxicated and made suicidal threats. The airman first class' supervisor was notified and the member was taken to the hospital and monitored until the alcohol fully metabolized. As punishment for violating Article 92 of the UCMJ, the airman first class was reduced in rank to airman, restricted to Andrews Air Force Base for 60 days, 30 days of which were suspended and a reprimand.
5. 11th Security Forces Squadron - Between on or about April 9 and on or about April 16, two airmen first class became involved in an adulterous affair with the spouse of another senior airman from their squadron. The two airmen admitted to the affair after a friend of the spouse overheard the two talking about their affair. The two airmen first class were reduced in rank to airman and restricted to Andrews Air Force Base for 30 days and reprimanded as a result of violations of Article 134 of the UCMJ.
6. 11th Security Forces Squadron - From on or about April 3 to on or about April 13, a senior airman made multiple unauthorized charges on the Government Travel Card. Additionally, July 10, the senior airman was involved in a vehicle accident and was found driving without a valid driver's license. After receiving an order to refrain from driving without a license, the senior airman drove on base July 16. The senior airman violated Article 92 of the UCMJ, and was reduced to the grade of airman (with the reduction below airman first class suspended until 17 February 2011), restricted to Andrews Air Force Base for 60 days (suspended through 17 February 2011), and reprimanded.
7. 11th Security Forces Squadron - From on or about Nov. 1, 2009, to on or about April 7, a married senior airman committed adultery with a married civilian co-worker. The senior airman violated Article 92 and 134 of the UCMJ. The member received as punishment a suspended reduction to airman first class, 30 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
8. 11th Security Forces Squadron -April 30, an airman basic left Andrews Air Force Base after being lawfully restricted to the base after a Summary Court Martial conviction. Upon his return, the airman basic climbed the perimeter fence to Andrews Air Force Base in an attempt to avoid being caught for breaking restriction to base. The airman basic violated Article 134 of the UCMJ. He received as punishment for this offense restriction to Andrews Air Force Base for 60 days (that portion in excess of 30 days suspended through Feb. 17, 2011), forfeiture of $100 pay per month for two months and a reprimand. The member now faces an administrative discharge for displaying a Pattern of Misconduct.
9. 11th Medical Support Squadron - Between on or about April 12 and on or about May 12, an Airman stole a bottle of Isoflurane from the pharmacy. The airman violated Article 121 of the UCMJ which resulted in his suspended reduction in rank to airman basic and a reprimand.
10. 779th Medical Support Squadron - On or about June 7, a senior airman departed her duty station for leave without obtaining a valid leave authorization. The member's supervisor made multiple attempts to inquire about the status of the senior airman's leave. The senior airman remained evasive until finally admitting to not having a valid leave authorization number. The senior airman violated Article 92 of the UCMJ, resulting in her reduction in rank to airman first class and a reprimand.
11. 779th Medical Support Squadron - On or about Nov 1, an airman first class opened a telephone account with personal information stolen from another airman first class. The member did not make any payments on the account, resulting in a $1,585.26 telephone bill. The airman first class violated Article 134 of the UCMJ, and received as punishment for this offense a reduction in rank to airman, restriction to Andrews Air Force Base, and a reprimand.
12. 779th Medical Operations Squadron -Aug.18, an intoxicated senior airman with a line number for staff sergeant was involved in a domestic dispute with his spouse that turned into a physical assault. The senior airman choked his spouse and struck another senior airman in the face. When security forces responded to the incident, the senior airman yelled obscenities at the security forces officer and spit in his face. The senior airman committed three violations of Article 128 of the UCMJ, resulting in his reduction in rank to airman first class, restriction to Andrews Air Force Base for 30 days, 45 days extra duty (with that portion of extra duty in excess of 22 days suspended until Mar. 7, 2011), and a reprimand.
13. 11th Logistics Readiness Squadron - From on or about June 12 to on or about June 13, an airman first class consumed alcohol while under the legal drinking age. When approached by security forces, the member lied to a security forces officer about consuming alcohol, and then hid in another member's dorm room when instructed to provide a valid form of identification. The airman first class violated Article 92 and 107 of the UCMJ. For these violations of the UCMJ, the member received as punishment a reduction in rank to airman, forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months, restriction to Andrews Air Force Base for 14 days, 14 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
14. 89th Aerial Port Squadron - July 8, a staff sergeant lied to investigators about an alcohol related incident on June 23. For this violation of Article 107 of the UCMJ, the staff sergeant received as punishment a suspended reduction in rank to senior airman, forfeiture of $549 pay per month for two months, 30 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
