An Airman stationed here was killed in a motorcycle accident in the College Park area Sunday at 6:23 a.m.

Master Sergeant Lamar Robinson, a native of Cordova S.C., was a flight chief in the 316th Wing Security Forces Squadron.

"The loss of any Airman is difficult to bear," said Col. Ken Rizer, 316th Wing/Joint Base Andrews commander. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Sergeant Robinson's family and friends who have been affected by this tragic event."

In respect for the passing of Sergeant Robinson, the flags at Andrews' main gate are flying at half-staff. Base leadership is providing a chaplain, mental health provider, and a medical professional to help Sergeant Robinson's fellow servicemembers in dealing with his passing.
