Military Family Housing Update

By 316th Civil Engineer Squadron

The Military Family Housing Office relinquished control of the Operation and Maintenance of Andrews housing Tuesday to Clark Realty Capital and its company, Liberty Park at Andrews.

The MFH's new mission is two-fold: oversight of our privatization partners and to help our customers understand how privatized housing affects them.

Residents already living in base housing should not see any change in their Dec. 15 leave and earnings statement.

In the Dec. 30 LES, residents should see BAH start (with an effective date of Nov. 20) and the allotment start with the same effective date. Net effect to pay should be zero as allotment will collect the exact amount of BAH paid out, covering both the month of December and the pro-rated amount for Nov. 20 through 30.

As a reminder, for those dual military couples, the rent is based on the senior member's BAH. The junior member will have BAH started by the Housing Office in concert with the servicing finance office (316 CPTS or other) to ensure things work properly. The goal is to work this so no actions are required by the member.

Residents should call Liberty Park at Andrews Leasing Office at 301-736-8082 or for maintenance call 301-599-1418. (Courtesy of the 316th Civil Engineer Squadron)
