AFDW Communicators deploy

Approximately 15 Airmen from the 744th Communications Squadron and 844th Communications Group deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom for four months Sept. 7. 

The combined units mission will assist communication efforts in various areas, such as information management and technical systems.

 "We have around 45 communicators deploying over the next several weeks." said Lt. Col. Herbert H. Wesselman, 744th Communication Squadron commander. "Our combined teams will operate and maintain communications equipment to keep the warfighters connected throughout the Area Of Responsibility."
