Campaign extends to allow key workers more contact time

The Department of Defense Combined Federal Campaign has been extended until Dec. 8.

This gives "key workers additional time to visit those personnel that have expressed a desire to participate," said Mary Lou Bogden, the Air Force's National Capital Area Campaign manager. All agencies reporting under the National Capital Area DoD campaign are authorized to accept cash, check or payroll deduction contributions to any or all charities listed in the Catalog of Caring, through the extension period.

Air Force organizations desiring to use this extension period to collect contributions are encouraged to turn in pledge cards as quickly as possible to their unit's key workers or coordinator within their organization.

The CFC is the only authorized solicitation of employees in the Federal workplace on behalf of charitable organizations.

This year's campaign features more than 3,400 charities and Andrews personnel have raised more than $150,000.

Call Capt. Meredith A. Beavers, installation CFC coordinator and 1st Helicopter Squadron operations executive, at 301-981-2667 for more information or any questions.
