Japan's Prime Minister arrives at Joint Base Andrews

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida arrived Aug. 17 before a first-of-its-kind trilateral meeting with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and U.S. President Joe Biden that took place at Camp David, Maryland, Aug. 18.

This was the first stand-alone meeting among the three countries and served to advance "the security and prosperity of all our people, the region, and the world," according to a joint statement released by the White House.
