Joint Base Andrews to host community conversation on PFAS

Joint Base Andrews, in coordination with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center, invites Prince George’s County residents to a community conversation to learn about ongoing environmental restoration efforts related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, and steps the Air Force is taking to mitigate impacts to the community. 

Representatives from the following organizations will be present to discuss their efforts and answer questions: 

  • Joint Base Andrews Environmental Restoration Program 
  • Air Force Civil Engineer Center 
  • Maryland Department of the Environment 
  • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 
  • Prince George’s County
  • WSSC Water

The event will feature an interactive poster session, allowing attendees to explore information at their own pace. Subject matter experts will be on hand to discuss key topics and address concerns.
