U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Alexis S. Krippel, a military working dog handler with the 316th Security Support Squadron, is honored as the June “Winnin’ Like a Griffin” recipient for her exemplary service and leadership, June 16, 2025. During a base leadership visit, Krippel and her military working dog, Dakota, conducted an explosive detection demonstration and showcased their daily obedience training regimen. She also provided a tour of the MWD kennel to U.S. Air Force Col. Jun S. Oh, 316th Wing and installation commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Alejandro Gonzalez, 316th Mission Support Group senior enlisted leader. Krippel’s expertise and dedication were further demonstrated when she secured first place in the obedience category at this year’s Capitol K9 Trials, reflecting her operational excellence and commitment to mission readiness.
