KUDOS to these kiddos

U.S. Air Force Col. Ryan Walinski, 316th Wing deputy commander, delivers opening remarks during the JBASH and Kids Understanding Deployment Operations event at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, June 26, 2026. The event brought together Team Andrews military members, civilians and families for a day of community engagement, family-focused activities and resources provided by organizations across the installation, including the Military and Family Readiness Center. KUDOS gave families and youth a look into deployment operations, taking kids through a simulation department to show the dedication and mission contributions. Throughout the event, attendees participated in indoor and outdoor activities, visited informational booths and connected with support services available on the installation.
