Capitals visit JBA

The Washington Capitals players and coaches visited Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, Dec. 1, 2015.

The Capitals met with Airmen to learn some of the various missions of JBA.

Capitals Head Coach Barry Trotz made comparisons between the military and NHL lifestyles.

"I've always been big into the military values, the accountability, structure, discipline and teamwork," Trotz said. "In our sport, it's all about teamwork. There are individual talents that everyone has, but it's working as a cohesive unit."

The teams tour included presentations of the 11th Security Forces Squadron military working dogs, U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team, 113th Air National Guard Fighter Wing, 459th Air Refueling Wing, U.S. Air Force premier rock band Max Impact, 11th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordinance Disposal, 1st Helicopter Squadron and 11th Civil Engineer Squadron Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRN).
