Media Release: UH-1N returns to JBA after precautionary landing

A UH-1N Huey helicopter assigned to the 1st Helicopter Squadron based at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland that made a precautionary landing near William Ramsay Elementary School in Alexandria, Virginia, returned to base at 1:50 p.m., April 30, 2015.

The precautionary landing at the school was in response to a transmission warning light and the aircraft landed safely.  There were seven personnel on board at the time.  Maintenance crews arrived at the scene, assessed the aircraft and determined it fit to return to Joint Base Andrews for further inspection.
