Malcolm Grow to close for Labor Day weekend

Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center will be closed on Friday, Aug. 29 for an AFDW Family Day and again on Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of Labor Day.

There will be no scheduled appointments on these days. No pharmacy or laboratory services will be available.

Prescription refills requested before 12 p.m. on Aug. 28 will be available for pickup after 12 p.m. on Sept. 2. Prescription refills requested after 12 p.m. on Aug. 28 will be available for pickup on Sept. 3.

The Emergent Care Center will remain open to provide emergency and urgent care services. Emergency Care is defined as a threat to life, limb or eye sight, such as severe bleeding, chest pain or broken bones.

Urgent Care is defined as care for an illness or injury that requires treatment within 24 hours but is not life threatening. Examples include: earache, toothache, rising fever, joint sprain or urinary tract infection. Visits to civilian urgent care centers require prior authorization from your Primary Care Manager. Failure to do so could result in you incurring the cost for the visit. For urgent care, authorization enrollees can reach their PCM on-call provider after duty hours by calling the Emergent Care Center at (240) 857-2333.
