Do Your Part and Vote

Joint Base Andrews Installation Voting Assistance Office

There is still time to exercise your right to vote. Please register and request your absentee ballot so that you can cast your vote even though you are away from home.
Registering now will give you the opportunity to vote in most state's primary elections happening late this summer before the general election in November.

As a general rule, people should register to vote in their state of residence every January and after every permanent change of station to ensure their state has the most up-to-date information.

Registering can be accomplished in several ways. Use the absentee voting system to your advantage. The Federal Voting Assistance Program (www.fvap.gov ) has an excellent on-line voting assistant that can automatically populate your home state's specific requirements, insert eligible candidates and offer you options for how to submit your forms and ballot.

On Joint Base Andrews, the base voting assistance office is located in the Base Library, Building 1642 on the corner of Brookley Ave and D Street. It is open Monday from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. There is someone available to assist you at all times.

Every unit has a unit voting assistance counselor who can help you and your dependants.

For more information, contact the installation voting assistance office at 301-981-VOTE (8683), or at usaf.andrews.voting@mail.mil
