11 CES initiates No Heat, No Cool

11th Civil Engineer Squadron

The 11th Civil Engineer Squadron will initiate an installation-wide "No Heat/No Cool" period to assist them in switching heating, ventilation and air conditioning system from heating to cooling modes.

The start date for this period will be April 15, 2014, and run through May 15, 2014. During this "No Heat/No Cool" period, Heating Ventalation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technicians will complete all equipment servicing and startup preparations. Additionally, based on last year's data, due to "No Heat/No Cool," the 11th CES was able to conserve more than 390 mega-watt hours of electricity and over 2,00 dekatherms of natural gas throughout the period. Lastly, these efforts also resulted in a combined monetary savings of $46,000.

Furthermore, during the "No Heat/No Cool" phase, only mission-critical facilities, Child Development Centers, critical server rooms and housing will be exempt. The 11th CES asks for your patience and understanding while this is being accomplished.
