Government Shutdown Information

11th Wing Public Affairs



Team Andrews,

As we work through the ongoing government shutdown, below are key details regarding the status of various Andrews services.

Services OPEN

- The Commissary
- Malcolm Grom Medical Clinins & Surgery Center (some services may be impacted due to decreased staffing)
- Child Development Centers Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Youth Center 
- The Exchange (i.e., AAFES) facilities
 -Dining Facility for dorm residents
- West Side Fitness Center will be open Monday - Friday, 5 a.m. - 7 p.m., closed Sunday
- East Side Fitness Center will be open Monday - Friday 6 a.m. - 2 p.m., closed Saturday & Sunday
- Emergency services for Joint Base Andrews will operate as usual


Services LIMITED or CLOSED

- The Military Family Support Center (301-981-7087) will offer limited counseling appointments
- The Military Personnel Section (301-981-1776) will offer limited passport appointments
- Finance (1-877-729-2339) will be open with some limited services
- Family Child Care will be closed Monday/WednesdayFriday, and open Tuesday & Thursday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
- Pard Day Enrichment Program cancelled
- Education & Training will be closed
- The Base Library will be closed

This website will not be updated during a government shutdown, but 11th Wing Public Affairs personnel will use the Andrews App, (download for Apple & AndroidFacebook and Twitter accounts to pass along important information.
