The combat arms training and maintenance facility held the 2016 Elementary Level Excellence in Competition Rifle Match at Joint Base Andrews, Md., May 17. 

The EIC had 120 participants from active duty, the Guard and Reserve, and was one of several events on base celebrating National Police Week. 

Competition participants shot ten rounds standing, ten rounds from one knee, ten rounds from the cross-legged position and 20 rounds from the prone position.

The top ten percent of competitors in the EIC receive a uniform badge.
