JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. –
The Washington Redskins held a walk-through practice at the West Fitness Center’s field on Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, Aug. 25.
This is the fourth time the Redskins have come to JBA in an effort to show their appreciation to the military community.
“It is a great tribute to Joint Base Andrews,” Bruce Allen, president of the Washington Redskins. “Our players and coaches admire the work that our men and women in the armed services do for us. It’s our way to say thank you, salute them and learn from them.”
Hundreds of base community members lined the field while the Redskins players and coaches went through plays and drills.
“To give the community of Joint Base Andrews an opportunity to be able to see some of their heroes in person is encouraging,” said Col. E. John Teichert, 11th Wing and JBA commander. “Opportunities like this strengthen the pillars of support between JBA and the local community. We look forward to having more of them in the future.”
Following the practice JBA members had the opportunity to get autographs and take selfies with Redskin’s players.
