JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md –
The UH-1N Huey helicopter assigned to the 1st Helicopter Squadron based at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland that made a precautionary landing near Gwynn Park Middle School in Brandywine, Maryland, returned to base at 12:40 p.m., Aug. 29, 2016.
The precautionary landing at the school was in response to a transmission warning light and the aircraft landed safely. There were two personnel on board. Maintenance crews arrived at the scene, assessed the aircraft and determined it fit to return to Joint Base Andrews for further inspection.
