Warrior of the Week

By Airman 1st Class Joshua R. M. Dewberry 11th Wing Public Affairs

Vincent Eure, 11th Force Support Squadron youth programs director, is this week's Warrior of the Week.

The Portsmouth, Va native has been the Joint Base Andrews youth programs director since 2006. He manages more than 40 employees and more than $1 million in funds for the program budget focusing on youth activities, sports and school-age programs.

Eure was recognized as Warrior of the Week because of his involvement as the office of primary responsibility with two high-visual events over the lasts two months; the Washington Redskins NFL Play 60 Challenge in Sept. and the Reading is Fundamental event with special guest Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in Oct.

"These events enhanced the development of our youth," said Eure. "Both events allowed more than 500 children from around the National Capital Region to participate in fitness and educational experiences."

Eure understands the value of an education due to his educational background and both of his sons currently enrolled in college.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in leisure studies and physical education from Louisiana State University-Shreveport and a Masters of Arts degree in management and leadership from Webster University.

When not at work, Eure enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, running, golf, outdoor activities such as camping, and going to church.

Congratulations to this week's Warrior.
