Remembering the Past
Happy 125th Birthday to Air Force Gen. Malcolm Grow. He was born on Nov. 19, 1887. The medical facility on Joint Base Andrews, Md., Malcolm Grow Medical Clinic, was named for him. A celebration was held on his birthday to remember him. Col. Rudolph Cachuela, 779th Medical Group commander and Airman Charles Jackson, the youngest Airman, cut the cake during the celebration. Grow was the first surgeon general of the U.S. Air Force from July 1, 1949 to Nov. 30, 1949. (Air Force Photo by Sr. Airman Jazmin Bowdry)
