Med Group exercises disaster response skills
A group of 779th Medical Wing members construct the frame of a 25-bed field hospital during a disaster response exercise held at Joint Base Andrews, Md., on June 6. The members were part of two Expeditionary Medical Support Teams who honed their skills constructing and dismantling deployable field hospitals. The EMEDS team, which provides full-scale medical support for ground and aeromedical evacuation, consisted of medical, logistical and administrative staff members. The hospitals are designed to deliver limb and lifesaving capabilities to a contingency within 24-hours. (photo/Bobby Jones)
