579th MDG bioenvironmental provides base protection
Staff Sgt. Donny Aspiras, 579th Medical Operations Squadron bioenvironmental engineering technician, checks the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature Tuesday, June 7. WBGT is a piece of equipment used by bioenvironmental to estimate the effect of temperature, humidity, wind speed or chill and solar radiation on humans. It also determines appropriate exposure levels to high temperatures so the base can display a flag to indicate the heat category based on the results. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Laura Turner)
