JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. - The Fast Rope Infiltration/Exfiltration System was designed to provide special operations forces access to areas helicopters are unable to land. U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers from the 7th Special Forces Group (airborne) perform last-minute equipment checks on the FRIES as the UH-60 Blackhawk Aircraft approaches the drop point.
