316th Wing Commander becomes Firefighter for a day
Colonel Steven Shepro, Joint Base Andrews/316th Wing commander, uses a 1 3/4 inches hand-line to hydraulically ventilate a house on Joint Base Andrews, Md., Feb. 23, 2010. Spraying water out of the window causes negative pressure, which sucks the smoke out of the building to increase visibility. Colonel Shepro was accompanied by his Airman "shadow," and together they worked with the 316th Civil Engineer Squadron fire department for the day.
