PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA LANDS AT JOINT BASE ANDREWS
316th Wing/Joint Base Andrews commander Col. Steven Shepro greets Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on the flightline upon his arrival at Joint Base Andrews Sunday afternoon. Ambassador Capricia Penavic Marshall, chief of protocol of the United States, center, was on hand to welcome the prime minister and his wife for the first state visit of President Barack Obama's administration. The prime minister was accorded ceremonial honors music at Andrews by the U.S. Air Force Band, which also performed the the Indian and U.S. national anthems after he walked down a red carpet through a joint-service honor cordon.
