Colonel (ret.) Pat Harris, left, and Col. (ret.) Kathy Patterson, lead the 155th anniversary celebration of Chapel 2 Sunday. Air Force leaders, state dignitaries and members of the church community were in attendance of the event, which included service followed by the anniversary celebration. The church was originally used as a headquarters command post by Union soldiers during the Civil War until it was purchased and converted into Camp Springs Army Air Corps Base's only chapel from 1943 to 1957.
