Title
Joint-service firefighters take DoD course
Staff Sgt. Brandon Riggins, left, 4th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., Lt. Donald Simms, center, and Staff Sgt. Terrence Bowman, both Andrews fire fighters, plot out the location of a fire on a map of a make-believe fire scenario, while following audio instructions during a table top exercise during the exercise inside a conference room at Fire Station II on the east side of base Tuesday. The session was part of a 12-day skill and leadership level training provided by two instructors from the Department of Defense Fire Academy, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. A total of 10 military and civilian firefighters from Andrews, Seymour AFB and Fort Myer will receive Fire Officer II certification and Incident Safety Officer certification upon completion of the course.
