Congresswoman Edwards visits Andrews
Anthony Alcala, 316th Force Support Squadron West Fitness Center manager, briefs Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards, of the 4th district of Maryland, and Col. Steven M. Shepro, 316th Wing/Andrews AFB commander, on the newly renovated Tactical Fitness Center during the congressional visit here Monday. Recently, Congresswoman Edwards secured authorization for funding to begin construction on a new physical fitness center at Andrews Air Force Base. “The safety, health, and well-being of our service men and women are a top priority,” said Congresswoman Edwards. “This bill will help provide our servicemembers the pay they deserve and the equipment they need to carry out their mission. I am proud to represent the men and women who serve at Andrews, and I am pleased that I was able to help jump start the process of building state-of-the-art facilities that will improve their quality of life.” (U.S. Air Force photo/ Senior Airman Steven R.
