JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. – Airman 1st Class John O’Rourke, 11th Logistics Readiness Squadron logistics planner, is this week’s Warrior of the Week for his success in his career field here, August 27, 2014. O’Rourke provides daily deployment planning and execution support to over 1,000 organizations across the National Capital Region. The Detroit, Michigan, native single handedly booked over 23 averted flights, totaling $45,000 within two days. Also, his attention to detail enabled him to identify and submit 10 change requests to Air Force District of Washington, ensuring deployed service members arrival to their destination was safe and on time. O’Rourke enlisted into the Air Force in August, 2013 for educational and career opportunities and to travel the world. His primary interest is playing football.
